The Inter-M IP-1015CS Ceiling Speaker is an IP-based solution that allows you to make announcements and play music over your network.
The IP-1015CS IP speaker is an ideal option for businesses that require an audio system controlled via the network. The speaker can be used standalone and connect directly to the network, or, it can be paired with the RM-N1000 paging mic for zonal announcements.
All Inter-M IP speakers are Powered over Ethernet and use standard network cable infrastructure.
Users can create specific zones to address many speakers at the same time; this makes it possible to play different background music or announcements, as well as control audio settings for each speaker individually or simultaneously. The user-defined zones are particularly helpful in larger systems as they make it easier for users to manage settings and ensure the right messages or music are delivered to the right location at the right time.
Functionality & Configuration
This range of Inter-M IP-based equipment is controlled via a desktop app which can be accessed via an IP address. Once logged in, users can assign music sources, volume levels, EQ, and schedule messages for each speaker, to name a few examples.
Paging & Announcements
There are several ways to make announcements with the Inter-M IP-based equipment.
One way is a direct connection to an IP-based phone network. Using SIP (VoIP), you can set up an extension on your phone that will ring to a specific speaker or set of speakers and output the message spoken down the phone.
Another method is to install the RM-N1000 Paging Microphone. This dedicated microphone will connect to the network and page to speakers or zones users have configured via the desktop app.
The Inter-M IP-1000AB audio bridge can be used to connect a standard analogue paging microphone if phone integration or the RM-N1000 is not required.
Via the desktop app, users can also preselect a chime to play before an announcement is made.
Text To Speech (TTS)
The web app offers a comprehensive text-to-speech feature that can be used to relay messages without the need to speak directly into the system.
Users can simply write messages into the text field and select from 6 different languages (English (US, UK), German, Spanish, French, Russian), in either a male or female voice. There are also options to adjust the playback speed, tone and delay of the message.
Once a message has been created it can be saved as a preset for repeated use, or integrated into the scheduler.
Music Playback
Via the desktop app you can stream music stored locally on the desktop, or, you can store music on an SD card and plug this into the speaker directly. Via the desktop app, you can then access these files to play music.
Annual Scheduler
The desktop app provides an in-depth scheduler that allows users to pre-set messages and play audio files at specific intervals.
The scheduler is very specific, allowing playback to be scheduled down to the minute per day across the whole year.
On dates where the premises will be closed, it also features a 'holiday mode' where no announcements will be made during a pre-selected timeframe.
